Wine Testing Tour India California's Napa Valley is the heartland of U.S. winemaking: an easygoing, river-run pocket of rolling greenery that revels in a sun-kissed climate. Calistoga Ranch, a collection of 48 wooden lodges woven into a forest of pines and oaks, is a supremely romantic embodiment of the valley's welcoming, informal atmosphere. The ranch has its own vineyard, label and tasting cave. Visiting vintners from all around pop in with their wares throughout the year, and the wine list in the restaurant could take a week to read, let alone sample. Furthermore, guests who want to get their hands juicy can join in harvesting, pruning and crushing. The hotel's Bathhouse spa uses Calistoga's mineral waters, offering numerous soaking treatments, scrubs and massages, and the exclusive Lakehouse restaurant is one of Napa's most celebrated.
Free Wine Testing 2. Hawksmoor House, Cape Winelands, South Africa A one-of-a-kind guesthouse on the Matjieskuil wine farm half an hour outside Cape Town, Hawksmoor House allows you a nostalgic glimpse into South Africa's vintage Winelands world: lingering breakfasts on the veranda, vineyard walks, sundowners on the stoop and indulgent dinners in an 18th-century dining room. Don't expect five-star flourishes - this is about unpolished home-grown perfection washed down with a spectacular sunset. The estate grows its own grapes, and provides its own label wines to help stock its cavernous cellar, but there are that many vineyards nearby (Stellenbosch, for starters) that you can take a tasting tour of the Winelands without leaving your armchair.
Wine Business In India
Alexis Swanson Traina, creative director for Swanson Vineyards and daughter of winery founder W. Clarke Swanson, came up with the idea of The Salon, which opened in 2000, to enhance the dialogue between wine and its surroundings.
Wine Testing Tour The Salon, which includes stone gargoyles and paintings by Ira Yeager, is a space designed for leisure, for people to sit down around a large round table and experience Swanson’s wines paired with gourmet finger foods. According to winemaker Chris Phelps, the space has “worked very well as a tool to introduce people to our brand.” Two sit-down tastings are available, either the “Harvey” tasting, with six wines, three cheeses, proprietary caviar and proprietary bonbons or the “Jean Lafitte” tasting, which includes four wines, two cheeses and proprietary bonbons. Cost for the first is $55 per person and it is available at 11 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Cost for the “Jean Lafitte” tasting is $30 per person and tastings are scheduled at 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
Wine Testing Tour India Tasting in Swanson’s Le Cirque, next to the Salon, are by appointment only. Winery staff pour four wines, which vary, for the tasting, and others can be opened, if customers are interested.

White Wine In India There is a commercial winery in every state now, but we'd guess most people haven't tasted wine from more than a handful (think about it and see if you can come up with more than six you've had).

Veramonte Winery, Chile: Current Releases It's hard to believe that in the early 1990's less than 100 acres of vineyards were planted in Chile's Casablanca valley. In little more than two decades, this region of Chile has surged in growth and popularity, and is currently producing excellent wines that generally represent excellent values on the world market. The region is currently home to more than 10,000 acres of vineyards.
White Wine India Back when the grape acreage was still in the triple digits Agustin Huneeus decided that the Casablanca valley was one of Chile's most promising wine regions, and that he needed to start making wine there. Not surprisingly, the world took notice. Huneeus was not just any aspiring winemaker. Indeed, by 1990 Huneeus could lay claim to being one of Chile's first great modern wine pioneers.
White Wine In India The early 1990's were calmer times in Chile, and Huneeus was afforded the opportunity to spend more time in his home country exploring the continually expanding wine regions, including the Casablanca Valley. These explorations turned serious rather quickly, and before long Huneeus was the proprietor of a brand new Chilean winery called Veramonte .
