By Kim Tong-hyung Staff Reporter Dong-A One, a Korean maker of animal feedstuff, is beaming after a cabernet sauvignon released from its California-based winery earned a perfect score of 100 points from U.S. wine critic Robert Parker.
Red Wine India Dana Estates' 2007 Lotus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon became one of the few bottles this year to attain the highest mark, after Parker and fellow writers of his Wine Advocate newsletter released their latest reviews on eRobertParker.com last week.
Wine To India The 61-year-old Parker is obviously the world's most famous wine writer and considered by many as the most influential critic of any kind, with his reviews holding a commanding presence over consumers and factoring how major wine producers around the world determine the prices of their premium bottles.

Wine and Sparkling Wine Notes by Heidi Cusick Dickerson Arriving at Dennis and Marty Roderick's I step into the kitchen of their charming cottage-like home at lunchtime. Dennis and his crew, longtime vineyard specialist Pancho Ibarra and 19-year-old grandson Remy Martin are sitting around the table. Bowls of steaming chili scent the air as I join them.
Wines In India I've known Dennis and Marty since we all lived in Mendocino in the 1970s. When we met they were in the floor covering business on the coast and we were remodeling an old home in the village of Mendocino.
Red Wine India As Dennis pours a glass of Goldeneye Pinot Noir with the chili, I am struck by the compatibility of chili and an elegant Pinot Noir. Roderick Vineyard's grapes have been sold to Goldeneye for the last couple of years. The wine's balanced, complex and fruit-forward flavors are elegant and yet just right with the chili. Dennis makes his chili regularly in two-gallon batches from organic beef raised by John Ford in Redwood Valley. Tasting the Pinot Noir that expresses the flavors of Anderson Valley vines with the organic chili contributes to one of those "aha" moments of a symbiotic pairing of wine and food. After he and Ibarra and Martin scope out the afternoon's work, Dennis recounts their years off the grid on this special piece of property.

Wine In India New York's wine country It's a cool, sunny morning, and the wineries of the Finger Lakes Wine Trail, in the rolling, vine-covered hills that slope down to deep blue Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga lakes in central New York, are pouring samples of their wares for visiting tourists.

LAKE LEELANAU -- Doug Matthies spent about $1 million to launch his Leelanau County winery this fall.
India Wine But you can't buy a bottle from French Road Cellars, or sip one of its labels at a tasting room. That's because the newest local winery owned by Matthies and his wife, Laura, is busy crafting wines for other area wineries and grape growers.
Wine In India It's the first "custom crush" operation in northern Michigan that exists solely to make wine for other operations.
