White Wine In India The Wines, Spirits & Beers of March Celebrate St. Paddy's Day with Irish whiskey, Peru's Pisco Sour, BBQ, Beer & Bourbon, Naked Wines and more.
Wine Testing Tour March is the month for that favorite party, the time we celebrate Saint Paddy who chased the snakes out of Ireland and converted the heathen. But March 2012 is a month of much more. There are craft beers to seriously contemplate, Pisco Sours to sip in honor of Peru, the High Museum of Art’s magnificent wine tastings and auction, orgasmically grown wines to try. It all starts this weekend with a fine fest celebrating beer, barbecue, babes, and bourbon although not necessarily in that order.

Truth in labelling is like anything else in advertising or marketing - a flexible concept based more on persuading consumers to buy specific products than on absolute "scientific" measurement.
White Wine India The US-based Organic Trade Association, active since 1985, defines organic agriculture as an ecological production management system that promotes and enhances biodiversity, biological cycles and soil biological activity based on minimal use of off-farm inputs and on management practices that restore, maintain and enhance ecological harmony.
White Wine In India According to the Chilean winery Cono Sur, at the leading edge of organic wine production for more than a decade: "An organic wine is basically a wine made from organically grown grapes, meaning they were farmed and harvested entirely without the use of man-made chemicals, whether in the form of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides or fungicides." Since its inception in 1999 more than 300 hectares have been added to Cono Sur's organic vineyard program in the Colchagua Valley. They also have a serious commitment to sustainable agriculture, favouring the use of natural alternatives to fertilize, prevent and control pests, diseases and weeds - preferring geese, sheep, insects and plants.

After three plus decades in the wine and food world, I’d thought that I’d pretty much seen it all. And while I’m still absolutely in love with this business and this beautiful place we get to call home, these days it takes something pretty spectacular to really blow me away.
Indian Late Harvest Chenin Blanc (dessert Wine) A friend and I decided it was time to visit a place that we had both heard about and judge whether all that we had heard was true. That place was Ram’s Gate Winery, located south of Sonoma near Infineon Raceway on the site of what used to the Roche Winery.
White Wine India From the outside and from Highway 121, the winery looks somewhat unassuming, perched on top of a small hill, but as we drove into the parking lot near the tasting room entrance, saw the dozens of mature olive trees lining the parking lot and surrounding the winery, and then walked into the courtyard that is the entrance to the tasting room we both knew that this was a pretty special place.

The Star-Ledger - NJ.com John Foy Russi and Baker have shown a deft hand that preserves the natural qualities of both pinot grapes. This is a new and young winery you should follow.
Indian Chenin Blanc The young team at Sonoma County’s new Thomas George Estate has produced two delightful pinot wines.
Indian Late Harvest Chenin Blanc (dessert Wine) Compared to Napa Valley’s Architectural Digest-styled wineries, its foodie-driven restaurants and plush resort hotels, Sonoma County is an American Gothic- vineyards and unadorned wineries interspaced with orchards and sheep and goat farms, and roads winding through wooded areas and along seaside vistas. The Thomas George Estate is just as rustic.

Last Thursday, Governor Bob McDonnell announced the Delfosse Vineyards & Winery 2007 Meritage Blend and the Veritas 2010 Vinter’s Reserve Meritage Blend will be part of the case, which is made up of the 12 highest scoring wines in this year’s Governor’s Cup, a competition that judges wines made in Virginia from only Virginian fruit. The contest is owned and managed by the Virginia Wineries Association.
Indian Sauvignon Blanc “I think we’re blessed to live in a region that gives us the opportunity to grow the grapes to make such good wine, because without the grapes, you can’t make the wine,” said Paul Mierzejewski, the wine maker at Delfosse Vineyards and Winery.
Indian Chenin Blanc All of the grapes used to make the wine come from Nelson County with 70 percent coming from Delfosse’s vineyard in Faber and 30 percent coming from Silver Creek Orchards in Tyro.
